Heidi Rogols is the owner and director of the Charmion Performing Arts Center. Miss Heidi began dancing at the age of 3. Heidi studied ballet, tap, jazz, baton and tumbling. She started her dance training with Janis School of dance, as her interest in dance heighten she furthered her studies with Danielle Kellis; professional entertainer across the United States and Techla Murphy; professional ballerina. Heidi has also studied with instructors from The Los Angeles Ballet Company, the director of Dance at the University of Oklahoma, famous choreographers from Chicago, Hollywood and New York City. Heidi studied extensively with Dance Educators of America and Dance Masters of America. At the age of 12 Heidi was attending national summer dance conventions to broaden her dance education. In 1986 Heidi successfully tested and became certified to teach the art of dance education by Dance Educators of America in New York. Recently, Heidi completed her Dance Masters Certification. Heidi continues to study dance as much as she can, by attending national dance workshops and conventions. After obtaining her certification to teach in 1986, Heidi opened her own dance studio in Bluffton Ohio. Heidi's studio branched to have 2 satellite locations with over 200 students studying ballet, tap, jazz, baton and tumbling. Heidi's sister Michelle Garlock assisted her with teaching baton in her Bluffton studio and at the satellite locations. Heidi's mother Sue Morse has always encouraged Heidi to pursue her dreams. She helped Heidi make those dreams come true, with her studio in Bluffton.
Heidi's students performed yearly at community festivals, nursing homes and the studio's annual recital to mention a few. Heidi's students won several awards at local dance and baton competitions. Heidi's choreography has achieved several awards in many of the local schools systems, assisting with the marching bands, Cheerleading squads, musicals and show choirs. Some of Heidi's students have went on to college to major in dance, performance or teaching.
Teaching dance was a life dream for Heidi, she wanted to be a dance teacher at the age of 8, dreaming of having her own studio someday. Closing her studio in Bluffton was a very hard decision to make. Moving to Circleville to be around her husband's family was well worth it. The dream of having a dance studio in the Circleville has came true. Heidi's passion for dance and sharing that passion with children is so dear to her heart. She truly loves to dance and share it with everyone she teaches.
Besides being a certified dance Educator, Heidi holds a degree in Medical Assisting and Management from Stautzenberger College. Heidi and her husband Marc relocated to Circleville, after Marc retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
